Development of Photography and the Truth Behind Digital Photography
Jan 23rd 2012, 17:18

Photography is the art of drawing with the medium of light. In today’s photography scene, a lot of advances have made photography a hobby and a profession for many. If we take a look back at the beginnings of photography, one will be amazed by how many progressions it did. Before the flashy 10 frames per second feature of digital SLRs today, there came a time that bringing a camera for a photo shoot is already an effort because of its size. But during that time, it has been shown that even with a bulky camera, it could suffice the requirement of producing art. Hansel Adams proved his point by creating the images of the wild west. With the right adjustment of shutter speed to a very minute f stop 32, he produced magnificent photographs of varying subjects. Then, camera manufacturers turned to their engineering department to make the cameras a little bit more handy than the usual. Then, though still loaded with film, specifically the medium format film more known as the 120 films; TLRs made its way to the market in order to provide people with photographs with a handy frame. But the dilemma with 120 films is that they create good portraits and photographs for that matter but if we come to think of it, 120 formats only come with 12 or 16 shots, something that displeases camera enthusiasts. Then came the 35mm format film cameras in order to solve the problem of lacking in shots. A roll of 135 film can be bought with a 12, 24 or 36 shot option. First came the rangefinders. Rangefinders unlike the SLR, functions without a mirror that simultaneously lifts to let light register to the film. A rangefinder directly focuses on an object via a double image provided in the eyepiece. Then came the SLR. SLR camera is more user friendly compared to its predecessor, the rangefinder. An SLR makes it possible for someone to create images in the easiest way there is. Today, everything has turned digital. Who would have thought that making photographs nowadays is actually as good as painting. Today, with the entry of digital SLRs, they make it a point that the post processing phase do the job in ironing out the lack in skill of a photographer. It is a fact that film based photography could make way better photographs made by digital photographers. A film could be bloated to whichever size a photographer wants it to be. Unlike digital format where boundaries of pixels prevent its expansion; film doesn’t experience this kind of problem. With the entry of digital photography, it makes photography not an art anymore but a gauge to how good a software could be in blurring lack of skill and talent.

A Flash animation is a compiled or published file created using Macromedia Flash software. The compiled file is a .swf file format that can be played by flash player or embedded in an HTML file. Flash can generate other formats including gif animations. Basically 2 dimensional graphics can be animated very well in Flash animation software. The software is able to perform some kind of movement and visual style such as Motion twin, time line effect, morphing, masking, blurring, expanding, transitions, transform and explode are such activities used for object motion. Frame by frame motion can be done in Flash software for character motions. Action buttons, movie clips for an interactive animation can be designed in Flash for interaction purposes. Flash a Popular Software Tool The animation products from Flash are popular in web media, television and movie industries. Web banners and web advertisements are designed using Flash. The .swf and .gif files are the animation files can be used in websites. For interaction purpose .swf files can be assigned mouse over, click action, where .gif files can not be used for interaction purpose. The swf file can be incorporated with sound files, voice over and back ground music. The animation can be integrated with voice and sounds. Flash animation files consume more memory space and take bit time for loading into memory of computer. Flash is able to integrate bitmaps or raster images, video, and vector-based drawings as well. The vector graphics gave more clarity that raster images. Macromedia Flash is very popular software for Internet based cartoons, online cartoons, web toons, online music players, and interactive software interfaces. Using ActionScript you can provide basic or complex user interactivity with objects other than those built into Flash such as buttons and movie clips, or otherwise turn a SWF file into a more robust user experience. Learning Flash You need to know the entire menus, tools, functions, panes, tabs, and all features used for making animations. If you have knowledge in a scripting language before, ActionScript will seem familiar. ActionScript is used for writing code for an action to be performed by a button or object. By this you can add a lot of interactivity to your animation files. System requirements The following system specifications are required for Flash software and player. Min Operating system Apple MacOS X 10.3, Apple MacOS X 10.4, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000 Min processor type 800 MHz, 600 MHz, 600 MHz Peripheral / Interface devices CD-ROM, VGA monitor System requirements details Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP 256 MB 710 MB, 256 MB 360 The best tutorial is Help panel (Help > Flash Help) or (F1) for reading all Flash topics, such as components and Macromedia Flash Lite etc. AniBoom has a great role on computer animation in electronic media. Having the Best Gondola Ride in Venice Italy
Jan 23rd 2012, 18:55

The Gondola is the symbol of the city of Venice, Italy. It is by far one of the most romantic ways to spend your time in that city. Many newlyweds have started a great life together by using this form of transport to get closer to each other. However as with most things in life their can be some perils to choosing to ride this type of boat. Hopefully some of my tips should help save some money and hassles as well. The first tip I would have is to choose your Gondola station carefully. This really can determine the ease of negotiation on the price for the ride. Also if you want to see some sight up close then choose a station that is near what you want to see. Make sure you explain to the gondolier exactly where you want to go on this ride. Since you are the one paying the money it is only fair that you get to see what you want to see. Also with this in mind make sure you tell the gondolier how much time you are willing to spend in the boat. I have heard stories of gondoliers taking hours with tourists and some only taking as little as 15 minutes. If you want your gondolier to sing while cruising along the canals then you should state this right at the beginning. Do not leave it up to him to decide as your price will vary drastically depending upon if there is singing involved. The point here is to make sure ahead of time that you will be getting what you pay for. Always make sure that you stand up for what you think is a fair price. Do not be taken for too much and always try to be the savvy traveler. Not only will this save you some money but can earn you the respect of the gondolier as you will have done your homework already. Most gondoliers are fair and trustworthy people however there is a regulating body that oversees this activity in Venice. If there is a problem then I would be sure to contact them and report your complaints. Most of the time your complaints will be taken seriously and the gondolier could face serious action if some remedy is not made. Being prepared is key to having the best gondola ride you can while in Venice, Italy. The more you know about the people you are dealing with the less likely you are going to be cheated.

7 Low Budget Film Making Tips to Help You Make Your First No Budget Film
Jan 23rd 2012, 23:13

If you are considering getting into the movie making business, it is crucial to understand that low budget film making is the best place to start. Even if you are considering Film College, consider making your own no budget film before you even begin. This article gives you 7 low budget film making tips to help you make your first no budget film. Use A Camera You Already Have There is no sense in buying a big fancy Hollywood type of camera. Many B movies have been shot on digital cameras. And the digital cameras today are pretty good. Even if you don’t own one, borrow one from a friend or relative. Don’t Cast Actors, Cast Amateurs Many times you can cast amateur actors for little to no cost. Don’t look for normal actors; look for people you already know that will fit the part. Your goal here is to learn low budget film making, so keep your movie budget super low. Don’t waste it on actors.. Don’t Shoot Complex Scenes Keep your scenes simple. Don’t spread your actors into several rooms and try to bounce back and forth. Keep about 3-4 people in the same room, in the same shot. Don’t get any more complex than a close up shot occasionally.. Keep The Movements Simple You are not making a Hollywood movie just yet, so don’t put any chasing or running scenes in the movie right now. Those are just too hard to film. Use the dialogue of the movie to advance the plot. Right now you really can’t use fancy images or movements the way high budget movies do. Shoot At Ordinary Locations The best places to shoot movies is at your home, parks, your vehicle and basically anywhere else you can shoot without paying a fee. Talk to your friends and see if they’ll let you shoot at their place. Maybe a relative of yours has a cool venue like a warehouse or something they’ll let you shoot at. Keep it simple for now. There Is No Perfect Take Don’t wait around for the perfect take or the perfect scene. Your actors are not being paid so they are not going to want to wait around for your to get the perfect shot. Take all the shots you need and edit later. Your goal here is to release a low budget movie, not a Hollywood production. Good Is Good Enough Remember, you are learning low budget film making before you even waste your time of film college or film schools, so good is good enough. Edit the film and roll it out the door for production. If you enjoyed the whole movie making process, then you can look into some filmmaking courses that’ll help you learn filmmaking.

Two Ontario Hockey League Alumni On Hannover Indians Roster For 2010-11
Jan 23rd 2012, 23:14

The Hannover Indians completed their first season in Germany’s Bundesliga 2 in 2009-10 after competing in the lower Oberliga for the past decade. The Bundesliga is a level below the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), Germany’s elite hockey league. The team finished 13th in the 14 team division. Two Ontario Hockey League alumni are signed on with the Hannover Indians for the 2010-11 season. D.J. (Dirk Joachim) Jelitto played just one season in the OHL, playing the rest of his junior hockey in his native United States. In 2002-03, Jelitto played five games for the Sarnia Sting and 21 for the Saginaw Spirit. From 2005-06 to 2007, D.J. played in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) for the Utah Grizzlies. After just three games in the 2007-08 season, he moved on to the Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League (CHL). He played for the Blazers again in 2008-09. In each of his two seasons with Oklahoma City, D.J. netted 25 goals. 2009-10 was his first season with the Hannover Indians. He contributed 30 points in 51 games which was good enough for third on the team in scoring. Jamie Chamberlain played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 1998-99 to 2001-02. he was a member of the Peterborough Petes for his first three seasons. In his final season, he started the season with the Kingston Frontenacs but after nine games, he found his way back to Peterborough. He was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the ninth round of the 1999 NHL draft, 265th overall. After junior, Chamberlain played four seasons in the Canadian university ranks with the University of Western Ontario. For the most part, Jamie was a point per game player with the Mustangs. Jamie has been a member of the Hannover Indians since 2006-07. In the first three seasons, when the Indians were a member of the Oberliga, Jamie’s point production was great. Chamberlain contributed 217 points in just 144 regular season games. In 2007-08, he netted a incredible 43 goals in just 51 games and led the team in total points with 84. This past season, in the Bundesliga, Jamie had 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points in 46 games which was good enough for the team lead. Ontario Hockey Alumnus, John Hughes, played with the team last season but has signed with Tampere in Finland for the 2010-11 season.
